About Us
Our journey began in February, 2013 when a group of devoted individuals, along with Founder and Pastor, Joseph N. Farris came together with the desire to enrich our lives and the lives of other Christian believers with the profound love of Christ. We can testify that God is (without a shadow of doubt) with us. We started out in a classroom and each time God moved us, He was placing us closer and closer to our permanent location. As of July, 2015, we have more room to GLORIFY THE LORD because He has blessed us with a church home! We are located at 8820 Figland Avenue in Pensacola, FL. God has been leading and guiding us every step of the way. God is our sole provider and the possibilities are ENDLESS with Him! As the scripture of Mark 10:27 says..."with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Amen.
The sanctified Vision of God for El Bethel Christian Baptist Church is to Love, to Unite, to Grow and to Prosper. The name “El Bethel” comes from Genesis 35:7 which mean “The House of God.” We are commissioned to glorify and spread the good news about Jesus Christ, to draw people closer to God, to give them hope, to love one another, to embrace and nurture our youth, to lend a helping hand to those in need, and to make a difference in our neighboring community. With God's help, we want to be able to reach out to people of diversity, to people of all walks of life, to the family structure -- and connect them with the life-changing Power of Jesus Christ. Through combined efforts, our mission is to bring positive change through spiritual enrichment, education, youth development and community outreach activities. All this can be accomplished through our strong faith and belief in God and with the help and support of others.
